This take is incomprehensible to me lmao
Some people can only get into competitive multiplayer stuff and can't enjoy single player at all. I've thought for a long time it's maybe a generational thing. Games didn't have reliable internet multiplayer until I was like 16, so my options for multiplayer back then were either the arcade that was 34 miles away, or the rare case my cousins were visiting and wanted to play Street Fighter.
If I can't 1v1 it better be a time eating factorio type game u know.
I grew up playing StarCraft brood war and command and conquer RA / generals. Then a lot of diablo 2 and dota, then HoN. And then street fighter, mArvel vs capcom, skull girls
Now it's mostly the factory or survival games since I'm old and have a family so can't practice competitive games anymire
