Bloober delivered last time. So im curious on their take of Silent Hill 3
Im not a big horror guy but I feel like we are living in kind of a renaissance of the gerne between big titles such as the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series and loads of nice small indie games.
Remember that Bloober already announced they're working on a SH1 remake earlier this year. Makes sense to follow it up with SH3 since it's the only direct sequel in the franchise and such a fan favourite. Kinda wish they did 4 at some point, that game could really do with a second draft.
Also you forgot Project Zero/Fatal Frame in your list of classic survival horror franchises
. Tecmo's releasing a remake of the second game in early 2026. (Yes, they remade Crimson Butterfly again. Yes, I would have preferred a remake of the first game.) No idea if it's going to be any good or not. The series has been pretty lost since the PS2 days and the last new game was pretty fucking dire in places.
I don't necessarily agree but I know I'm pretty much alone in that.
