It seems like he's been on a warpath in recent months, attempting to tackle Trump in as many positions as possible. I've at least noticed him a lot more on social media than other politicians. I think the way he's positioning himself is smart.
I don't think he's good though. He says a lot that seems to be alright, but i agree with you. He gives me politician vibes like the majority of american and canadian politicians. In it for the money and power. Tbh I feel like the whole system needs to be replaced.
My fear is that, in the event that we get a fair 2028 election, Gavin Newsom will be pioneered as the golden child, as Joe Biden was in 2020 -- drowning out the actual Leftist voices. Then those progressives are pressured to drop out because this election is sooo important. Cue a Newsom presidency where we get 4 years of macro-economic recovery while the common folk suffer, and then the cycle repeats.
I would put money on that. Seems to be how things play out as the years go on
