Grocery store consolidation towards major chains, capitalism, covid-driven price hikes that stayed, tariff-related price hikes, or price hikes that just use tariffs as an excuse have led to rocketing grocery prices here. It is hard to measure since I don't track every item historically, but on the whole I've seen 200%-300% price increases on some items and probably a 150-200% general increase to my total grocery bill overall.
