Women with atrocious opinions always get disproportionate attention for their shit takes, and that goes tenfold when we're trans women. I hate that i have to say this when it's about an arrogant liberal who built her career on whining about being cancelled for being a truscum piece of shit, but just look at this thread, people genuinely get more upset about Contra than Destiny, who doesn't get mentioned once in the entire thread outside of the OP.
destiny didn't do anything here. some of his fans posted a clip. he's not commented on because he's not actively participating.
He doesn't have to do anything except maintain a rabid fan base that does this shit for him. He also has Dan Saltman at his side, directing a lot of this activity via Discord. Live Stream Fails has been under orbiter control for many years now. If anything, the willingness to accept the disingenuous framing presented by these orbiters speaks volumes about Contra's abundant liberalism, which is not unique; any garden variety liberal would do the same. That's precisely the kind of worldview Dan Saltman and Destiny attach themselves to like a parasite. Saying "Destiny didn't do anything here." is wildly inacurate; he's been doing everything possible to build a following of dipshits to act on his behalf. It isn't stochastic terrorism; I hesitate to draw that comparison, but it shares a genealogy. He isn't devoid of responsibility simply because he didn't cut the video himself, post it, and expose Contra to it.
no disagreement, i was just saying why we hadn't been talking about him in the thread.
Stochastic harassment? I feel like we need a term for this because the rise of """influencers""" has also given really rise to some of the most abominable behaviours I've seen online, but now done by large masses of rabid cult followers.
