I can at least understand what's being said by a few of these, but do we have an official, on the books, definition for what constitutes "extremist" views, or what "traditional American values" are in this context?

I'm guessing not, because I'm not sure they know what any of that actually looks like anymore.

They think they do, but they keep the wording vague in their official statements because these rules are not to preserve American culture or their way of life, it's all vibe based. I don't like you so let's see which of these vague statements I can attach to you so that you get in trouble that you literally cannot afford to get out of....

The entire point of vague shit like this is that they can use it to justify going after whoever they want.

Vibe-based assaults on people's rights are a traditional American value

Oh, they know when they see it. Its anything that isn't blindly falling in line with the party line. Simple as.

Someone who doesn't fit into what they view as "the norm".

I say, that "the norm" needs to be amended, changed, or done away with entirely.

Traditional american values to maga: lobotomies, slavery, ownership of women, murdering people for their land, and polluting everything.

Sooooo.... We're regressing to the 1850's. Got it.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

Those were the times MAGA thought america was great.

Imagine this whole time they meant a specific native-american tradition by that.

They don't, but the thought is amusing.
