There are always their websites.

Hmmm. I don't use any banking apps for 2FA, I guess. How do you mean exactly?

[–] Prunebutt@slrpnk.net 3 points 6 months ago (1 children)

When I want to do any transactions on my bank account, I need to verify it with my bank's 2FA app.

That app doesn't work on waydroid (I tried) and needs a "certified" device.

Huh. I've never heard of that. I'm in the US, and I only need 2FA to log into the website and then I can do whatever I want. By 2FA, I mean, a standard RSA authenticator app, or just a text message with a code.

Yeah, I think that doesn't work with EU banks.

Your banking app has its own 2FA?

Switch banks.

[–] Prunebutt@slrpnk.net 3 points 6 months ago

It's not their own solution, but SecureGo - AFAIK a common third-party 2FA app in Europe

Switch banks.

I don't like your... encroaching tone.

Also: no available bank here supports common FOSS 2FA solutions. All use SecureGo, or something similar.

In Sweden BankID is your login to a lot of services, especially local community ones, the tax office and so on.
