Part of the reason why I suppose I will never, ever have a position like that is that I can't imagine being that spineless.
Jimmy was 100% in the right here and ABC was 100% wrong, and what's more there is no universe in which someone like Kimmel is truly blacklisted from entertainment, he's just too valuable. MFer should have gone on TV, said in no uncertain terms that Kirk was a monster who directly contributed to the culture of gun violence that resulted in his own death, did his interview with Gavin Newsome and then when he got fired for real after the broadcast he could have taken over the Daily Show or something.
Is Kimmel too valuable? Do people even watch his show? I felt like the backlash was more against the fact that anyone was being fired rather than Kimmel in particular.
I think he's valuable enough to land another gig if he loses the late show, even if the zenith of his career is behind him
