They haven't declared war on autism. They've declared war on science and knowledge in general.
I hate to say it because it's become a cliche, but it's Idiocracy.
To continue the cliche, it's worse. They still recognized the value of intelligence in Idiocracy.

No, it's fascism. Part of the fascist playbook is the removal of the arts and the sciences.
Within 10 years Hollywood will not be allowed to produce anything not approved by the government.
