The parallel between how Fascism was all the methods of Colonialism returned to the core from the periphery and Neoliberalism was likewise all the methods of Neocolonialism returned to the core from the periphery always seemed very striking to me. It's really no wonder that when that failed to do what the Capitalists expected they just immediately pivoted back towards trying to do Fascism again after deciding that the problem with putting a flimsy human mask on the brutality and extraction had to be the "human mask" part instead of the brutality and extraction part.
