What the fuck is "yet" doing in a professional news hed here? Even if it were in the direct opening quote, it can be truncated. But this frames the story as a fait accompli that, oh yes, it will be found.
Even odder is this hews to the propaganda that it can't have been one guy who was pissed, it must be left-wing groups (plural)! That's the only explanation!
Have you ever tried to get left-wing college groups to come together? I mean, shit, you can't have vegetarians and vegans share a buffet line. There's no fucking way this was a carefully coordinated left-wing plot.
For one thing, he escaped on foot. Assassination 098 calls for a getaway car and driver so that you don't have to wrap your rifle in a towel, throw it in the woods and hope the cops don't find it until you fucking return to the scene of the crime the next day. This is not Oceans 11, leftist edition.
