The correct response would be for one of the other nuclear-armed powers to come in with the Navy in land and amphibious invasion into Gaza and start shooting down any Israelis in the territory attacking it and reconstructing it.

France or the uk or the us could end this.

i think you are underestimating the difficulty of an amphibious assault. i think it's the right answer, but it's net a simple action, and any and all amphibious assaults have the US Navy to contend with, a military power that is horrifically overscaled. the US Navy has approximately 10x the deck space of any other country
