I wish that liberals learned about WWII
Liberals understanding of WWII is: Hitler was bad, good guy America swooped in and saved the day, the end.
Hitler was bad, good guy America swooped in and saved the day by nuking Japan, the end.
150,000-250,000 civilian casualties
Hitler and Stalin were best friends and teamed up to take over the world, until Private Ryan and his Band of Brothers invaded Normandy and put a stop to it
I usually get them to take some interest in the Soviet perspective by calling it "the Great Patriotic War" all the time, and then telling them that's just the Soviet term. It doesn't always work very well, but now and then it does something. And, y'know, I like using Soviet terms rather than Western terms for things.
That is extremely funny to me, but if it works, it works.
Yeah, that's my attitude to a lot of stuff. It's not stupid if it works. Which is all too often a really good attitude to have towards handling liberals.
