"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

Not jut any german social democrat, the social democrat. He was a tireless anti-communist that nurtured the growth of german fascism at every opportunity possible.

I don't believe in great man theory, but if it comes to responsibility for the Nazis rising to power there was no single person more responsible. Words can not express how much I hate this worm and I hate the way he is venerated.

Same. He literally conspired to betray the people who got him to a position of power while they were still doing it, standing outside and cheering. He even had a secret landline to the emperor and promised his support to him. He did everything he could to keep monarchy in Germany, maybe parliamentary like in the UK, if necessary to placate the people. Some soc-dems might not understand what they are doing, but he played the now traditional part of social democracy straight: consciously lying to the people to get to the top of a revolution he hated in order to defang it and steer it into a direction that was safe for the ruling class.
