Literally just the western Christian persecution complex. If someone is being persecuted for their ideas, it means they are a Good Guy. Of course, when there are living civil rights activists who are being persecuted, oddly the CHUDs never say that they are good people and always hate them, it's only decades after when they can whitewash their image that they will say anything other than the most hateful things about them.

It's not about the persecution he actually faced, it's about the persecution they think he faced. Remember, these people think that Biden and Kamala were communists, and that big government is only a few hours away from voting to ban christianity.
