It's completely accepted that his family aren't liberals. If the left were only born into LW families it would be going extinct due to low birthrates. It is consistently shown that each younger generation is more left leaning than the last. Even gen Z who are sometimes suggested as being more conservative only show this if you select a small age range of that generation

The original draft included criticism of the slave trade. The founders didn't have a singular vision and those that owned slaves broadly speaking didn't consider all people equal. There are certain moves afoot that, if they come to fruition may make us look like monsters for keeping Apes in zoos, eating them as bushmeat etc one day in the future https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_ape_personhood
If we were evolved enough to breathairianism, I'm down. And I eat meat. I think when we realize how abundant resources really are and hoarding isn't a problem so we can equitably share, we could make real progress. Lady justice is depicted holding ⚖️, not weapons.
ETA: I'd appreciate addressing my other points. My other thoughts are, if people don't like gay or trans, women or people of color or other religions then don't be that. Don't like abortion, provide birth control and comprehensive sex ed etc.
