This game is fuckin HARD. I'm about 10 hrs in and spent the last hour or so getting my ass kicked by an ambush room full of basic enemies

Interesting. I never learned to use the d pad on a controller so I've been playing with the left stick. It's rather finnicky.

You really have to know what you are doing with the joystick where as dpad is should be very tactical and makes sure you know exactly what direction you want to go. I know i mess up the flower jumps on joystick from not going properly down but i also fully beat Hollow Knight on joystick except for the path of pain on dpad so if you have the muscle memory just keep working on it.
