The newest game has been the one that sold best compared to the others in the past despite the quality issues 💀

So yes, Pokemon does in fact have the games.

90s kids just need to come to terms with the fact that Pokemon is for children. Pokemon is the highest grossing franchise in the world, by a lot. They've made almost twice as much as Starwars. They have all the resources to create any kind of game they want and they are specifically choosing to produce this quality of game because they know it sells. If you enjoy them that's great, but I don't fit their target demographic anymore so I'm out.

It’s not “for children”, it’s “all-ages”. Like Mario. And that doesn’t stop it from releasing almost consistently great games.

Its target audience is irrelevant to the matter, it’s simply that Gamefreak got lazy as fuck and just decided to go for the easy cash.

After playing Scarlet, I don't even necessarily think it's deliberate. The game is plagued by incompetence more than anything else.

From what I’ve seen it screams “we could’ve probably released a good game with another year of development, but who cares, it’s still gonna sell”.

It would definitely have been better, but I think part of the incompetence is in the design.

I'm on your side mate, I know all this and honestly don't care about Pokemon nowadays either. I just want to play my generations three to five in peace lmao
