Bro, the "Ballad of Mister Potato Man" songs are the ones about LSD. Anyone who's dropped before knows that you need to be on acid to come up with some of the shit they did in their later years.
Man I can't come up with anything that isn't just utter nonsense when actually tripping. Granted these songs have nonsense lyrics, but there's no way I could put my nonsense to music while watching the walls melt ๐ it's impressive that they managed as much sense as they did.
To be fair "I am the walrus" is utter nonsense.
