Dunking on Liberals from a leftist, anti-capitalist perspective.
Dems keep working with trump to approve his picks, but what they won't accept is that if you sit down at a table with nazis, the only thing that's changed is the number of nazis at the table. @_cryptagion@lemmy.dbzer0.com
Rules:
- No bigotry of any kind (except towards liberalism).
- No liberals (unless you are a masochist and enjoy the abuse).
- Strictly no downvoting (downvoters may be community banned, 4 the lulz).
- Bernie Sanders is still a liberal.
- This is a genAI friendly instance, so no complaining about genAI content.
We allow posts about liberal behavior even off fedi, shitposts, and rational, leftist discussion.

Kinda all of it? Considering "democracy" by definition is "a system of government where all eligible members of society vote in an election, either directly on legislation itself (direct democracy) or to appoint representatives to dictate legislation for the whole (representative democracy)"
"Democracy" is intrinsically tied to having elections.
No. Democracy is rule by the people, the demos. Might actually be 'the mob'? Technically in the original greek its tyranny or violence of, i think (or it would be demoarchy) but i digress.
It's perfectly possible for the people to rule collectively without centering elections, and, if you really wanted to telry, having any voting at all. It just requirws the ability yo imagine literally anything being better or just different and weirder than it currently is.
You're tied to the concept of daddy doing things, of decisions being far from the people.
