Leftists will actually agree with that, and then proceed to reject every historical example of policy to solve these issues in favour of constant debate om TV and trusting the elections.

Leftists =/= liberals

Also every historical example of policy that solved anything in the interest of the working class was because it was either 1. fought for and paid for with lives of revolutionaries 2. done in fear of the working class looking at socialist countries and saying "wow they have this right and that right" basically swaying the common person towards socialism

Yup, I agree with your entire comment. In Europe, more often than not, what we call "libs" consider themselves leftists I would say, at least in my experience as a Spaniard.
