lemmy.world had difficulty handling new account registration when I tried moving from Reddit in June 2023, so I tried to find/join other instances. People said "it doesn't matter which instance you join."
Oh it definitely mattered.

Not sure exactly what your point is other then displaying your rotten character.
You‘re babysitting a community, that exists and thrives only to poke fun at another set of people they‘ve learned to disagree with, even dehumanizing them, wanting to get rid of them, and you‘re participating and replicating it. The justification is „documenting“, but all you‘re documenting is your very limited world view and your malice.
What’s a person to think of this kind of mindset?

Hm, yes indeed, since ignorance implies a lack of knowledge, this might not be the most precise term. What’s observable here is more of a willful set of actions and beliefs that‘s actively fostered: dehumanization, tribalism, hate, bigotry, malevolance, eliminationism.
Ignorance goes along with that, but might be a step removed. Let‘s call it wilful ignorance then. What it leads to other than fascism? Maybe think about that yourself, instead of asking outsiders, that you don‘t take seriously anyway.

What did you actually mean here? What is ignorant about it? What are the consequences? What is this „western lens“ actually doing with this community? And why are you running a community built on ignorance then? Classic Lib strategy of saying things that sound progressive, but upon closer inspection are empty shells to hide their ignorance?
