My point is how society is ok with this, but suddenly this behavior is wrong when white people are being made fun of.
I think people largely didn't like Velma because it was a poorly written show trying to milk the popularity of Scooby Doo as a franchise. If it had just been called like... "Maddie" or something and wasn't related to Scooby Doo, no one would've given a shit. The CHUDs were hangers on, not the main group of people complaining.
And it really wasn't the first media in history to make fun of white people, you should check out the Boondocks, I think you'd love it (it is a very good show)
