Of course the idea is extremely oversimplified, and yes, you'd need to adjust for inflation

And no, 100 million is way too much. Everyone can already today live quite comfortably with a net worth of 10 million. In a world where there is no such thing as student debt, medical debt, etc, one would need way way less to be comfortable.

Again, in a society with an actual functioning healthcare system. See Canada, western Europe, etc...
