U.S. President Donald Trump said that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet next Friday in Alaska to discuss bringing an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine. The Kremlin has not yet confirmed the details.

The meeting would be the first U.S.-Russia summit since 2021, when former President Joe Biden met Putin in Geneva.

It could mean a breakthrough in Trump’s effort to end the war, although there’s no guarantee it would stop the fighting since Moscow and Kyiv remain far apart on their conditions for peace.

Alaska, the place Putin and co signed a decree to investigate whether or not they could make a claim that Alaska was still part of Russia. And Trump thinks Putin is going to fly to Alaska on the assurance that enough of them voted for the felon who likes Putin to not kill him.

That'd be the quickest way to end their invasion. Someone shoots Putin while visiting the U.S. and suddenly their government goes scrambling to fill the vacuum while trying to figure out how not to look weak for not attacking the U.S.

Easiest solution would be for whoever took over there to say the war in Ukraine was Putin's stupid war and a detriment to Russia and they were better off now that he was dead. Say they will leave to the borders that existed in 2022 with no reperations needed to be paid knowing it would save them having to waste resources trying to hold those lands for decades to come.

Ukraine would probably sign that treaty as well. Hell Trump could sell it as he meant for Putin to get killed and ask for his peace prize. Or if Trump was smart he'd have signed off on the military killing him when the plane landed here.
