The AIA & National Trust should take him to court to prevent this! He should not be able to make permanent changes to the historic building that belongs to the American people.

What the fuck are they talking about?

If trump adds a room I bet the next dem prez closes it off and doesn't use it or some nonsense like that

[–] godlessworm@hexbear.net 18 points 8 months ago

next dem pres will announce the disgraceful trump ball room will be turned into something more honorable— the presidential goon bunker

If free and fair elections continue - I suppose so. But I think Trump is going to demand the GOP justices rule he can run for a third term and then in 2028 - the GOP will commit election and voter fraud to make him win.

It certainly would make it hard for libs to still pretend the USA is a democracy if that happens.

[–] PorkrollPosadist@hexbear.net 19 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Won't matter. The rhetoric will change from "saving democracy" to "restoring democracy," but the strategy of collecting girlboss votive candles and voting for whoever the TV says is "electable" will remain.

Some will never see the light but if the next 5 Presidents are all Republicans some of the libs will have to wake up

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 8 points 8 months ago

Vote! Please, please, please, please, please. This is how we can still win...

Oh, they will, they'll just declare that Trump doesn't count, and when the supreme court personally picks his replacement after him without an election, they'll still just be insisting that that doesn't count either. Democrats will still fail to have an approval rating above 30%
