I couldnt find a better community to ask this, but i need help. I had 6 root canals on friday and they were given temporary filling until my crown prep on august 9th. well today i woke up (at 11pm because my sleep schedule is fucked) to find that some of the fillings are already chipping and one fell out, though the hole itself is still sealed. the tooth is sensitive to cold air when i breathe now. wtf do i do? i already havent been eating and have been "sustaining" myself with protein shakes through straws because i feared this exact situation! i cant call the dentist since its the weekend and this has been a years long process because im on denti-cal (essentially california's own version of the NHS) so if it all crashes and burns at the very final stretch i will be extremely depressed. is it fine because the hole is still covered with filling (albeit cracked filling) is there something i should buy to cover the tooth? im just really lost and severely panicking right now!

Temp fillings over root canal therapies generally have another layer underneath that's actually sealing off the root canal filling. You're doing the right things.

i know that you haven't a clue technically, but on assumption alone do you reckon it should be fine for now?

Haha well if it's what I'm thinking has happened, it'll be fixable.
