Why is it that when "things nobody actually wants" are too expensive, capital goes out if it's way to make sure we all have to use it. But when "things people actually need" are "too expensive" capital suddenly can't afford it.

For techbros like Musk yeah, but there are a lot of traditional finance market capitalists that don't care about that, its only the current big thing that justifies making the line go up. They tried that with NFTs too and it wasn't even that much of a conscious class effort too.
