Even better for MAGA, they can have her lie and name a bunch of their favorite punching bags. Suddenly, the cabal will have been led by Obama, Biden, Sanders, AOC, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, etc. It will fuel their rage.

Lots of everyday people won't believe it, of course. But that's the brilliance. Their MO is to attack the concept of objective truth. Throw enough bullshit accusations of participation in Epsteins's crimes out there, and the real perps will be shielded by the collective doubt surrounding any accusations of child rape.

the cabal will have been led by Obama, Biden, Sanders, AOC, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, etc.

Fun fact: there's a theory that the word "cabal" was originally an acronym formed from the last names of Sir Thomas Clifford, Lord Arlington, the Duke of Buckingham, Lord Ashley and Lord Lauderdale, a group of ministers for King Charles II of England (it may just be that the word became popular because of this acronymic coincidence). So in your example, it would be an obsasp.

obscsp if going purely by last names then

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It's not purely last names, though. The Duke of Buckingham's last name was Villiers but he was commonly called "Buckingham". AOC most commonly goes by "AOC" so the "a" works.

Right, I think the of system kinda makes you forget these people have real names too. I certainly often do

Anyway apparently the word comes from the hebrew kaballah which is sad

Oh I only meant sad because that discredits the fun origin story lol

AOC is not a reasonable target. She never had money or power. I don't think anyone would believe Sanders. Everyone else I think is a possible target.

Unbelievable is the point.

Cast doubt on any Epstein accusations.

Lying under oath means more prison, not less.

Absolutely... in a world where the justice system is impartial and a consistent adherence to the law is judged rather than who appointed the judge.

That being said, I would say it's more practical to make unprovable claims, not provably false claims.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

No one would believe that and she'd be obviously perjuring herself. How the hell could she say AOC was on there?
