I thought it was just my instance, but I discovered that Lemmy was rewriting external image references to proxy them through my Lemmy instance, which doesn't always work.
Changing my post content is not cool, but doing it in such a way that breaks my comment is fucked up. If I wanted my Lemmy instance to host my image, I'd have uploaded it to my instance. Feels sleazy.
