This response had me thinking at first it was a copypasta of the script from a beautiful mind or conspiracy theory, but no. Psychosis is just fucking like that.
I had seen people in far worse conditions in the psychiatric wards but they got the help they needed and usually left out with a positive change in mental health that felt like a miracle but the experience sort of changes depending on where you are admitted.

I would hesitate to say "psychosis is just like that," but it's can be. Not everyone suffering from psychosis is going to kill someone. Often they are more a danger to themselves and also pretty often victims of abuse themselves. Of course this particular situation looks like it could be dangerous, so it'd probably be a good idea for them to be admitted to a hospital. I still sometimes have psychotic episodes, but for me it's often that something is coming for me. Nobody to kill or hurt, just some inexorable cosmic force coming to get me. I dunno. This is probably a case where they're dangerous, but I don't want people to assume this is what psychosis is always like.
