Saw a fair argument that 911 might not have happened if Florida has been settled sooner, even if it were still a bush victory.

Evidently party of the dysfunction and delay with intelligence agencies was due to a somewhat botched transition due to the uncertainty. Maybe they still would have missed it, but there's at least a reasonable chance it would have been caught.

Eh, not that we'll ever know, but it's not like there would have been some magic to make government disfunction stop.
