charitably, they might mean New Deal rather than neoliberal.
I guess a charitable view of the new deal and Keynesianism is that it's a semblance of left
I have the harsher view that it was a further entrenchment of reaction to reconstruction but
was certainly to the left of reagan. that's the bar for the last 50 years of american national politics. these fuckers have been making Nixon look good by comparison.
Hence "semblance."
