I use the little flat plastic bobbins. They don't take up a lot of space, and you can write the DMC number on the top with a sharpie. I keep mine in a plastic thread storage box. I have a big double sided one now because my floss collection quickly outgrew the first one I got lol. It's nice because even the big box doesn't take up much room, it snaps shut so nothing falls out and it keeps things organized. I got all this stuff from JoAnn's (rip) and Michaels, but any big craft store should have them or you can just order them on Amazon.
That looks so satisfying o:
It was definitely a big improvement over my old system which was just a big plastic bag full of loose bobbins lol it really helps me keep track of inventory so I don't end up buying more of colors I already had because I couldn't find them or they weren't labeled properly
Walmart carries these floss storage bins for like $5. I have 4 of them and about 3 bins full of threaded floss. The bobbins are the best. I splurge on the plastic ones as the paper ones are only good fpr maybe 1-2 full uses before they're unusable.
Oh yeah I always get the plastic ones, I would destroy the paper ones by the time I got the floss on them lol
