Americans are a very docile people. For all our screaming about freedom we don't fight very hard for it.

The whole point of all that screaming is to instill the belief that we have already achieved freedom. When you live in the most free, bestest country on earth, you aren't likely to raise a fit.

In combination with all the other reasons they are docile, this all happens at a very bad time, A second Industrial Revolution occurred the last two generations disrupting community politics when most people moved around the country at least once and changed their jobs.

Society is paralyzed more than the first Industrial Revolution in the 1700s. Old political networks were dissolved, and there is a leadership vacuum on many levels
