I read that the second I posted my comment, which is why I deleted it immediately. How can you still read it?
Federation. It got cached on other instances. And Lemme.ee comments and posts are still there too, despite it's been retired.
In a sense, to function, fediverse share all you do with every other non-defederated server. Keeping that in mind makes one a bit more sober about what they post.
But it's a bit annoying if one's post is slow to receive updates once edited - for others to see it fixed.
