I think they're cute, and I've heard even some people scared of spiders like them.

the two big eyes and compact form defrays a lot of the ick, i still wouldnt let on crawl on me but i don't get the viseral lizard brain freak-out from them.
Had one sit on the tip of my finger for several minutes once while it was spooling out a web line that made it look like it was practicing karate.
