If there is one thing the workers can't stand, it is occasionally getting paid to go fishing or crack open a cold one and grill outdoors.

He’s saying this on Juneteenth because IDK he couldn’t pick up a book of stamps or something. When it’s Fourth of July he’ll be all like “the hard working Americans earned this holiday.” It’s not so much the racism as it is “What do you mean I can’t buy stamps on a Wednesday, this is America!”

I lived in rural Tennessee when I was a child in the 90s. On MLK day the bank, THE BANK, changed their sign to read, "WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER N_R HOLIDAY". They spelled it out fully. Not a digital sign. They did the lettering one by one.

This tweet has the same vibe.

Oh, and if anyone wants to know it was Waynesboro. Fuck that town.

Virginia changed it to Lee/Jackson/King Day, to honor Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson

My wife gets "confederate heroes day" off in Texas every January 19.

Oh…I didn’t even think of the racist angle, I thought it was a vile attack on the working class

He did say this before - in addition to hating Juneteenth he also hates all paid holidays

Knowing the hogs, they would think it’s a great insult that they have to be pried from their oh so precious boss even for the great satan’s birthday.

Hell, they’d be the types advocating they give their boss a “day off” from paying them.
