Basic Rules:

Revisionism — No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users, as it handwaves their extremism.
Off-topic Discussion — Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post, rather than engaging in arguments that lack mutual agreement.
Brigading — If you're here because this community was linked in another thread, please refrain from voting, commenting, or manipulating the post in any way. This includes alt accounts. All votes are public, and if you are found to be brigading, you will be banned.
Tankies can explain their views, but may be criticised or challenged for them. Any minor infraction of the rules may result in a warning and possibly a temporary ban.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically last only 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction doubles the duration. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.

I might be conflating them with one of the many other tankies I have tagged, so I can't say I know for sure. If anyone can fact check me that'd be welcome.
What I do know is that there are some tankies on ml who live in the US, and I can't comprehend why they wouldn't leave for best Korea.
I find that they aren't that different from magats. They want Simple Solutions to complex problems. And strong men to implement it. They don't want to have to deal with endless debates involved in democracy or even in anarchy.
All the talk of them reading all of these tomes on Theory. May as well be Drudge Report, or daily wire. They have a lot of baseless out there theories as well. Pizza parlors with no basement housing child sex dungeons in the non-existent basements. Hillary Clinton vampire fanfiction Etc . When you don't engage critical thinking. You will always be confused when things don't work the way you thought they would.
Have you no sense for adventure? One day you won't be able to afford to leave.
