I've literally seen that argument repeated almost verbatim in so many comment sections AND in real life

Like, I can understand why people don't like AI, but the memes fuckin accurate

I dislike AI because it produces slop, not because it can't be original.

Yeah, the more people say something, the less true it becomes. Good facts die inside an individual mind without ever being shared.

More like, people say thing for a lot of reasons:

The err... "argument" if you even want to call what I said that, can still hold true even if it's been written verbatim before.

[–] gamermanh@lemmy.dbzer0.com -3 points 2 days ago

I didn't say that wasn't true, but if it's the go-to phrase of the masses then it's accurate to put it in an NPC meme. People who dislike AI but don't understand the tech enough to actually understand why usually give that answer, whereas people with actual knowledge on the subject tend to put more nuance into even their shorter replies on the topic

Unironically stealing this. Thanks.

I AI generated it, enjoy your moral quandary

[–] Harvey656@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's going to be harder than that to give me a moral quandary. That being said what ai does this? It has jpeg artifacts where the face is from the lines that were added in some sort of photo editing program?

[–] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

It's copying the artistic style of a popular 4chan artist. Those are generated jpeg artifacts, which are worse than the regular jpeg artifacts.
