Military ties?? Combine that with the "root causes" statement and the logical conclusion is ...
China as a country was officially neutral, even as individuals sometimes made choices that we'd disagree with, https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2025/04/10/china-rejects-claims-it-is-aware-its-citizens-are-fighting-in-ukraine-as-irresponsible
But now the leaders of China are the ones being irresponsible. How could anyone support Russia's position against Ukraine and be against a peaceful resolution?
They will happily tell you that they are all about peaceful resolution. Meaning unconditional surrender of Ukraine, which is the ridiculous point.
