Or you could listen to people who don't agree with you and let them articulate why they reject what you believe in to protect yourself from living in a cult of hysteria
I don't need to let fascists articulate why they disagree with me. I know why they disagree with me, and it's because they're fundamentally horrible people.
If you can't explain what the other side believes and have the opposing side say "Yes, that's exactly how I view it, correct", then you don't know what they are far. Understanding your enemy's point of view does not mean that you agree with it, otherwise you are the very filth that you label others as being. If everybody opposed to you is wrong, if everybody against you are all fascists, then technically you have made yourself the totalitarian fascist if those against you are not allowed to speak publicly
Bro, their actions do not support the things they claim to believe. Their excuses don't matter at that point.
