Thank you. Just took a breif look at Hexbear. I wasn't able to see much but from one comment I was able to see, they seem like colourful characters. Lemmygrad are obviously tankies. Don't know what I was expecting from the name.
hexbear has a lot of tankies, but it has a larger variety of leftists than grad.
The name doesn't give away much.
Thank you for the explanation. Apparently, they defederated from the instance I'm using because of transphobia. Is it worth changing instance to see their content? (And perhaps I should to begin with?) I wasn't aware of transphobia when I joined it originally.

Ok. Thank you for clarifying. I had initially considered joining them because the description said "leftist meme space" which is similar to a subreddit I frequented but I gave up when the form basically asked me if I was a vegan.
