How the fuck is Reagan a liberal???
Reagan was the sitting US president that literally ushered in neoliberalism! He was the quintessential liberal. Just because you've been raised (I'm guessing in the US) to believe in the false dichotomy that liberals and conservatives are polar opposites, this is in fact not at all true. "Conservatives" are just one branch of liberal, not their antithesis. Reagan was a hardcore liberal, may he rest in piss.
They mean liberal as in the actual definition of the word not liberal in rhe way America uses it
Reagan was a secret liberal stealth republican. He pioneered the no fault divorce which won over "conservatives" that wanted to do the 3-4 ex wives thing, and he appealed to liberals in doing this. Then he set up the downfall of the USA like a true republican.
You think taking a less conservative position on a single issue made him a liberal governor/president?
Liberal as in the actual definition in political theory. Not how US pundits and the people who learn everything they know from them use it.
