I'm curious how Voyager for Lemmy is funded. Or is it just community driven so the workload and potential costs are spread out far enough that nobody is footing the bill all by themselves?

Voyager might be maintained by a single person, but let’s not fool ourselves who created it. Voyager is a direct clone of Christian Selig’s Apollo for Reddit.

I love Voyager as much as the next Lemming, but I’ll be damned if credit isn’t given where credit is due.

AFAIK the Apollo source code was never open sourced. So while the UX is clearly a successor to Apollo, the code was built from the ground up.

A spiritual successor, if you will.

Christian did not create Voyager. It's UI is an homage to Apollo but he had nothing to do with it. Calling him it's creator is pure nonsense.

When Apollo died, a bit of my soul went too. Voyager really helped with the transition.
