Everything regarding social democracy as a political movement.

As described on wikipedia:

"Social democracy is a political, social and economic philosophy within socialism. As a policy regime, it is described by academics as advocating economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a liberal-democratic polity and a capitalist-oriented mixed economy."

Social democracy is often confused with democratic socialism which is it's own thing.

To make this a usefull and a positive environment we ask you:

to post related social democracy and politics
to be respectful, honest and argue in good faith

While being a open minded group we don’t allow these following transgressions:

posting NSFW content.
partaking in harassment, bigotry, hate-speech, Racism or other types of toxic behaviour.
posting questionable material that push conspiracies or propaganda.

If we did more to address wealth inequality, a lot of other problems get better. Like, it could be technically legal to spend a billion dollars on advertising a campaign, but that won't matter if no one has a billion dollars to spend.

I had a half joking conversation with some friends at the bar a while ago where we had this idea: every year we calculate the 10 richest people who have more than some factor more than the poorest people. If they don't give up their wealth to get under the threshold, then we kill them, and distribute their stuff.

That's it. It's really just "eat the rich" with extra steps.
