We never got rid of lead water service pipes to existing houses and have a fetish for old properties. A cautionary tale really.

our regional monopoly water companies are world leaders in turning actual sewage (that they put there) into something that the average brit thinks of as potable water

im sure the americans will pay for that expertise soon enough.
