I'm excited to jump back into Avowed. Last weekend I made it to the second map, and I have a lot of exploring to do there!
How are you enjoying the game?
So far so good. My biggest complaint is how often it crashes, but good news for everyone else, it seems to be only happening to people playing on the first edition of the XBox Series X (lucky me!). It seems to happen in sections. I had to go through one major dialogue, about 5 times because of would crash in the middle of it, but then I might play for another hour before it happens again.
I've always been a big fan of Fallout and Elder Scrolls, and it fits right in with those, but it's different enough that I'm still learning how the systems work.
I guess the game is a lot smaller than it looks, my son's already finished the main story, and half of the "world map" doesn't exist in the game, so I'm wondering if we'll see those parts in DLC or something. Still, kind of shady to show us this big map and not actually have anything behind it.
Oh yeah, someone mentioned the crashing here before. That's pretty weird that first party game crashes on all first edition consoles. They should do something about it.
Is it possible that your son only did main quests, and those areas are for side quests etc?
