I've been eating potatoes for my whole life and I still haven't got bored of them. Maybe worship is like potatoes.
This. Or perhaps it works like the ori in Stargate, where the worship and belief in their divinity is a source of power. The more people worship them, the more powerful they are (compared to the "atheist" gods they split with some millennia ago).
Or maybe it's like sex. People don't usually get bored of sex.
