Other theories:

ILS system interference due to other aircraft causing ILS to report slightly higher height than reality
Wind shear

I reckon not because they are flying visually by the time they reach the minima. I do like the theory of them not seeing the runway with it being so white with snow, but then don't they have RADALT counting down their height?

Eh, speculation feels almost conspiratorial with what little info we have. The ntsb will figure out the last time the captain farted and whether that had any effect on the crash, so I'll just wait for their report.
